Shinra's gains are ill-gotten and underserved. But that doesn't give us the right to simply appropriate it - we become no better than they are. We can't simply take what we please because we think we're justified. We must do it the legal way, once we gain power.

Perhaps you have a point, that imitating the actions of the invader is the same as approving of their actions and methods.
However, what we have here is a fundamental flaw in the system that only hides things away from us. It isn't theft as much as it liberation of funds. When the money belongs to us in the first place, it is merely balancing the scales to take it back. But, I suppose, if you do not wish to post in Shinra, I guess that will be fine. I'll just crawl back into the KH forums and die of boredom.
Perhaps your handling of funds will be different when you are in charge. But if I were running, and I will make transparently clear that I have no intention of doing so, that the money that is under my charge will be gotten to the people as quickly as possible. In order for an economy to maintain stability, money must move from point to point, changing hands quickly and aptly, in order to provide everything. Money made in this fashion is money made from the efforts of the people.
If you think about it, the money we got from Shinra is money that will go back to them in the form of taxation on the companies that are receiving our funds. So really, we would be giving them back their money, it just takes on a different form, changed hands, as it were. It is constantly in motion. I have not denied our Shinra enemies the opportunity to dine with us; the doors are open.

The ShinRa currently do run the forums and nothing like that happens. Your update? The four members were thrown in jail for theft. Apparently Avalanche not only commits it, but you support it.Mullet was only showing how easily Cid's Knights can abuse their powers. He was demonstrating what it would be like if Shinra ran EoFF. It would become fascist, with the media and voices controlled, threads being closed because they do not suit the needs of the Shinra agenda. EoFFers would lose their voices or be censored. This is what awaits EoFF if Shinra takes power.

Marick D. Pauper here at the headquarters of the Avalanche Party. I've been running into individuals like Flying Mullet, Avanlache enthusiasts, as well as been hearing spats back and forth between Shinraists coming in to protest against the Avalanche movement. From what I have seen, it seems that the Avalanche movement has nothing at all to do with the movement of boulders. However, it does have everything to do with the undermining of the current administration in power. Here, we have learned that they want to limit the power of the Cid's Knights to minimal authorities. However, certain power removals seem to be stretching it a bit too far. Let's analyze.
Privacy
Viewing I.P. Addresses: Well, it's common knowledge that I.P. addresses are a very unique identifying moniker. Knowing this eliminates the chance of having second accounts being made by banned members, having multiple spam bots get registered from the same address. However, according to the Avalanche stance, it also wishes to strip the power to ban users and close threads, ultimately making this power useless in the end. So let's file this under the category of needless debate, since an I.P. address is useless if you can't ban. Sounds like filler debate matter to twist and spin the voter's opinion!
Viewing Birthdates: How is this even an issue? Without them being able to see birthdays, then we would have never had RSL day! Next.
E-mail Addresses: Will Cid's Knights be sending mass messages to privatized e-mail messages. So far, we have yet seen it, but who knows with people like Roogle and Psychotic as Cid's Knights. We can't rule out the possibility of this happening.
Power Authorizations
Banning Users: Cid's Knights ability to ban users would become obsolete under the Avalanche party's rule. While some members, not one I can think of off the top of my head, might not have been banned on just grounds, spambots would begin to run wild and flamers (not the gays) would be running rampant among the forums posting pornography in acts of expression. It is in the view of this reporter that, if anyone posts furry pornography, they should be banned and mocked for one full year, despite claims of self-expression. Regardless, the policy on this power from the eyes of this reporter commenting on Avalanche's policy views the view in the light of being up in the air. It goes along with the immigration policy. No one wants Gaia Online individuals around here. We all snub their kind, but then again, what sort of sight would we be if we don't encourage growth. But do we want to be rated PG for Pureghetto entertainment, or PSY, for Psychotic entertainment? The choice is yours.
Economy: Taxation and misrepresentation! TAXATION AND REPRESENTATION! All members paying for accounts to register and post, with oldbies being forced into a higher tax bracket, well, it just sounds like Avalanche might be trying to redistribute the power to all the useless members of the forum. Members like loony bob penetrated me, or i got the jibbles... They would be paying less fees than members like local chocobo Loony BoB, or DK. Even myself, if all my stupid accounts were added up, would be paying more than most individuals here, and while I can't say I support this, I also can't say I don't see a reason to get only the rich to post. After-all, why shouldn't only those who can afford to have the internet AND pay additional fees be able to access a Final Fantasy Message Board.
The War: Probably the most serious issue of all. GHF, a place God frequents often to tell what he hates now. Being a member of this community, I do see that this is indeed a great thing for us. Reparations are in order, but in fairness, Citizen Bleys and his crotch are terrible terrible individuals who tried to ruin the establishment of Eyes On Final Fantasy. While God Hates Fraggles offers a safe-haven for him, paying reparations to them can only resurge the power Dr. Unne and he has held, unless he is taken out and certain restrictions are placed upon their community. However, let's not forget the cost burden this war has put on us all here at Eyeson. However, is this enough reason to loosen our security? Not to mention that people like Raistlin frequent that place. Really, who wants to support anything affiliated with Raistlin...
