FF I - If you want to play the game all the nerds talk about. You'll find yourself having to grind somewhat but not too bad. The map is hard to follow sometimes, atleast for me, and you can play with whatever party (four total) you want out of Warrior thief black belt white mage red mage and black mage.
FFII - If you want a game that you can grind forever and well thats about it... You play as three main characters and sometimes get a forth. In the end you get a forth to keep until you beat the game.
FFIII DS - Play this to say "hey sora, I beat ff3 and you never did" other then that I can't tell you about it.
FF IV DS (though I have played FF IV recently) - If you liked what you've played of IV go for it.
FF V - This is the final fantasy a lot of people liked but don't admit it. Every time someone is like oh I liked jobs... yeah. There are many jobs here and the characters can get real suped up. IF you like crystals in final fantasy then yeah this ones for you.
FF VIII - If you have emotions this game is for you. Also can get sometimes boring like drawing and waiting for abilities to learn but over all I think its got the best graphics in any ff. you can like the hero but he can be sad and lonely.
FF IX - This is a well round ff. If I was you I'd take use of the steel command and always buy one of every item you can. With Zidane always stealing, you should stay stocked up on potions and what nots.
FF XII: RW - again people can rub it in my face that I never played this.
FF Tactics: War of the Lions - Same as above...
FF Tactics Advance - this is the first game you should play if your wanting an Ivalace story. Follow after this game is like Vagrant story, tactics and the 12 combo. and tactics advanced two.
FF TA2 - Never played..
...and also these:
The World Ends With You - I'd keep this and the next one as games to play when you get tired of all the ff titles. Like if you are stuck or your head feels to cramed of random encounters.
