The Killers have some really good covers, notably Shadowplay by Joy Division and Romeo and Juliet by Dire Straits. (althogh the original is amazing too)

And yeah, Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah. Best cover ever.

I've always found Marilyn Manson's version of Sweet Dreams to be amazing, personally.

Yep. All of his covers are generally pretty radical, but this one is like the Marilyn Manson song.

His covers of I Put a Spell on You and Tainted Love are also pretty radical.

He smurfing ruined This is Halloween though.

Oh, I know, but if you notice that is post- Golden Age of Grotesque and therefore post-good-Manson. Personal Jesus made me want to dig my ear drums out with rusty spoons.

Oh yeah I remember the worst now - Christina Aguilera, Mya, Pink and Lil Kim mauling Lady Marmalade. The video makes me feel nauseous too.

Alien Ant Farms Smooth Criminal is far better then the original too.

No, Under Pressure is still worse then Walking with a Ghost Cover.

And yes, Smooth Criminal is better as the cover, and I grew up listening to, and quite enjoying, Michael JAckson. Though I actually hated his version of SMooth Criminal.
