    Default Taskbar disappears after wake-up.

    So whenever my laptop goes to sleep, the taskbar is gone when I come back!

    The start button is still there, so I just auto-hide it and then uncheck the option to bring it back, but I would really really like it if it never disappeared in the first place! Halp!

    I am using Vista Home Premium.

    Sounds like a lot of people have this problem and they just decide to fix it on a case-by-case basis(autohiding). You might try the hotfix listed in the last post in this thread, however. Vista taskbar disappeared after waking up from standby - TechNet Forums
