Commanders Log - XX/XX/XXXX


The base has finally undergone construction. It was finished in the early morning hours, deep in the heart of Appalachia, and went operational at 0800 this morning. We have myself, and thirteen brave and reckless maniacs with us, all handpicked, all drafted by the world's leaders. Who stuck me with these maniacs. I swear to all things menacing, if I see Psychotic walk out of Loony BoB's quarters late at night ONE MORE TIME, I'm going to lose my cool.

Anyway, We already started construction on an alien containment facility. Apparently, those who fund us felt that we didn't need it right off the bat. They also felt we could be crammed like flies, and therefor, we had to build another living quarters. We've already spent half our monthly income of six-million. Let's not even consider the amount it costs to rent those two Interceptors and our SkyRanger... Apparently we're too poor to buy. Also, let's not forget we also hired eight new mechanics and eight new scientists, and all of them, including we soldiers, get monthly pay.

Six Million is such a measly number by today's standard. I mean, America is donating a little over one million, and the rest of these smurfers are only funding us less than half that on average. Maybe they have no faith in this rag-tag bunch of hoo-ha's... whatever.

That little square is the official Eyeson US HQ. It serves as our current base of operations, and will be considered our head HQ until we come to a time where we can build another base.


This is our base layout. You can see the facilities with numbers on it have that many days to be built. Please note, the three hangars, as well as the little red/black facility (the elevator) are the places where the aliens can enter should we be attacked. I didn't design this, don't complain to me.

That base design is a death trap. I usually RP it away by claiming that it's just an old Cold War base we were given as a hand-me-down or something.

I see that I will be cowering at the rear of the Skyranger. Huzzah for mildly increased survival chances!

Damnit! What is command thinking? Tossing -me- in with this bunch of rejects? Bah! Might as well make the best of it though. It's not like those damned riflemen will be able to hit anything without me telling them where the alien scum is. Who knows... maybe if I perform well enough, command will finally recognize my abilities and give me my own unit... Ah, anyways, back to scanning the network for any "interesting" documents.

Commanders Log: XX-XX-XXXX

My God, one of these rag-tag soldiers actually did something successful. Our lone pilot, Psychotic, hopped aboard one of our two Interceptors and destroyed a very small UFO hovering over the Great Lake area of the USA. Who knows what the hell the UFO was doing. We haven't figured out a way to decode their coded messages.

It seems like I mismanaged our supplies. What I ordered, was necessary and well, but uh... I didn't order the appropriate amounts for everyone. I hope no one notices that they will be using weapons they weren't trained to use...

Anyway, things have been quiet, other than that loud construction going on in the base...

Commander's Log - XX-XX-XXXX

We received indication that a very small UFO was stationed on the ground in a small farming community somewhere north of our base. We are preparing to load our troops up and fly out and investigate. We are hoping to possibly kill any and all alien menaces within the perimeter, as well as grab a live one for possible study. This will be difficult, this will be our first face-to-face encounter. I just hope he morale of this rag-tag bunch is high enough to where we won't be needing to bail someone out because they pissed themselves and dropped their gear.

SKIRMISH AGAINST "VERY SMALL UFO"


My god, we're here. We can't see in here. Let's roll out!


First one out is Magixion and he spots an ALIEN MENACE guarding the doorway into their UFO.


Feeling brave, Magixion shoots at the alien with his rifle, landing a direct hit, sending the alien screaming in agony as well as falling to the ground. I think we just alerted them to our presence... if our skyranger wasn't enough.


The rest of us pile out, leaving Sagensyg and Psychotic in the Ranger. That little brown thing by the ramp is a smoke bomb, which will conceal us in smoke and hide our movements, but it will also cause us to go unconscious if we stay in its range long enough.


Moving forward in the second phase, Old Manus and I spot this little sucker in the lettuce field behind their craft. Looks like they were taking some lettuce for themselves.


Being the brave commander I am, I shoot at the alien to make up for Manus' blunder in missing it. SUCCESS! I AM BETTER THAN MANUS!


Meanwhile, Roto and Nik0tine are scouting the perimeter on this side of the farm. Rubah and Milf are scouting the north side, and Rye and Lancealot are scouting on the other side of the hedge that exists in front of the UFO.


The rest of us are heading back to assault the UFO, and hopefully, get inside. We're going to try ang position two people on each side of the UFO, and then maneuver Sagensyg in at the door in order to throw a grenade inside, killing everything within range. Either that, or he'll throw a proximity grenade in front, hopefully killing anything that might be inside. We have yet to go into the farm house and make sure nothing is watching us from the window.
