If Nolan DOESN'T come back for a third Batman film...

I think the biggest problem the Batman series has now is the usual tendency for third films in a series (especially when a 'comic-book' film) to stink - Spiderman 3, X-Men 3, Superman III, Batman Forever, Shrek the Third etc.

Paul Greengrass is a very good director, but they should try and hang on to Nolan.

Well, most of those can be attributed to changes in directors. If Nolan worked on the script for part 3 as he has previously, it probably wouldn't turn out to be a total <img src="http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif" alt="skull" /><img src="http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif" alt="skull" /><img src="http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif" alt="skull" /><img src="http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif" alt="skull" /> pile. But there's no explaining away Sam Raimi, really.

There's NO GUARANTEE I repeat NO GUARANTEE that Nolan will come back.
