I forgot to make a post announcing the end of the voting period (I was otherwise occupied with telling my sister that she's so drunk that I can't get her past security in the dorms and that she'd have to go back to my Aunt's house and face our mother's wrath), but it's... over!

Before announcing the results, let's take a look at each competitor's history!

 Del Murder
Second seed Del Murder scored an early (but expected) 13-3 win over seventh seed Crossblades in the first round. He then pulled a 8-4 victory over the top seed in his bracket, Behold the Void. In round three, Del emerged victorious 10-7 over The Unknown Guru. Del defeated TyphoonThaReapa 9-4 for the Message Bracket. Del slipped by scrumpleberry by one vote (6-5) in the Elite Eight. Del continued his streak in the Final Four with another narrow victory (7-6) over Disco Potato.

 ShlupQuack
ShlupQuack was one of our unseeded competitors coming into this tournament (as in the last tournament she was using an alternate screen name); nevertheless, she started strong with a 14-2 victory against the also unseeded competitor zorander. She then dominated Big D 8-2 in the next round. Shlup also made it through round three with a 10-7 victory over I Don't Need A Name followed by a 10-3 victory over Fate Fatale to take her bracket. ShlupQuack had by far the most commanding victory in the Elite Eight with her 9-3 win over Dignified Pauper and then defeated Burtspurt in the Final Four by the same score.

Who will win the Fall 2008 Screen Name Competition? Find out... soon.
