Default Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World

So I picked this game up today and played for a bit. I'm disappointed there's no world map to move around on freely, but everything else is quite enjoyable. I also have about 3 monsters that I've made pacts with. The fact that you can catch all these monsters and they even evolve is making me think of Pokemon though. In the end the monsters don't mean anything because by the final battle you'll probably just want all actual characters. But I suppose it's a nice little thing to have

Overall though, I find the controls to be good, and the gameplay to be just as enjoyable as it's predecessor, with some of the same fun humor.

Plus, it was a good reason to play my Wii again for more than like 30 minutes.

Woah, it's out already? I may have to buy a second Wii game soon...

Can you use the Wiimote only? Or is the GBC controller an option?

It's Wii-mote only, the sorcerer's ring is used by holding a button, aiming at the screen, and pointing at where you want to use it. Then in battle you can use motion to activate moves, or the D-pad (this replaced the C-stick). There's still A and B moves like before.
