    Default .m4p in WinAmp?

Hello. A friend of mine recently sent me some music files that are in the .m4p format and my WinAmp can't play it in its current state. Could anyone suggest a suitable plug-in (if there is one) to download? Thanks.

Isn't .m4p a DRM-encumbered file? You'd probably need to use iTunes or whatever to decrypt and convert it to a more sensible format like .m4a/.wav/.ogg/.mp3
Problems playing downloaded videos? Try CCCP

I'm just guessing, but you may be able to run it in Media Player Classic if you have CCCP.

The way I got rid of protection was to use qtfairuse6, but this was a couple of years ago and DRM runarounds have changed a lot since then. I'm not sure what version of itunes you have, but if you need someone with osx to use requiem 1.8 I'll be happy to help xD

.mp4 are the protected apple format. .m4a are the unprotected format which you can convert to mp3 at your leisure.

Well, I don't actually have iTunes at all as I find it a bit cumbersome to use and don't particularly like it! I'll take a look at that tomorrow morning and hopefully it'll work. *compulsory insulting remark about macs*

    Thanks for the help.
