My Own Political Party!

Okay so at school i'm part of a Debating Society which is like the coolest thing ever,
Anyway today my teacher set us a task to make our own political party with our own policies, logos, flags etc. and to present these ideas in next weeks lesson.

My question to you is about policies, because I know there are a lot of very intelligent people in here with a lot of strong political views, so if you were Prime Minister/ President, what policies would you have on, for example, healthcare, education, climate change, credit crunch etc etc.

I am very interested to hear your thoughts and possibly use your ideas

my platform would be run on being nice to people. This means that I'd try to get prison terms reduced, death sentences done away with, a more progressive tax system (sorry richies), looser immigration standards (get more tax-payers!), incentives to live in-cities like public transport (paid for by the higher taxes)

Of course, with a platform like that, I'll never get elected!
