    AUTORUN.INF IS THE SPAWN OF SATAN.

    Avast! started to recognize a bunch of autorun.inf files on my root drives (C:, D:, F:, M and I have tried everything to get rid of them. Deleting them doesn't work, quarantine doesn't work, renaming them doesn't work, nothing works ; - ; I've tried a lot of manual removal procedures but Avast! kept on finding new duplicates of autorun.inf only about 2 minutes later.

    I uninstalled Avast! and installed ESET Nod32 Antivirus (I read that this finds / removes the problem properly) and I am currently running an entire system scan. I am hoping this will fix it, but ...

    has anyone else had trouble with this worm before? If so, how did you fix it?

    I haven't had problems with it before. Have you searched online to see if there are suggestions to help clean it up?
