Your star likes the ganja. In public.
Nah, she's just demonstrating how not to use a pregnancy test
there was a picture here
So I am an avid hater of twilight. (see sig of last spring. )
I went to see this movie with an avid lover. She had already seen it 4 times so I sat next to her to ruin it with my logic. Now I can efficiently make fun of it.
POSITIVES:
- Their eyes were cool.
- It was kinda cute.
- Had some giggle moments.
- urm... I want to move to Washington now for all the rain?
NEGATIVES:
- Painfully obvious when it comes to plot
- Painfully obvious there are werewolves involved in this story.
- The movie made me actually sigh in boredom a few times.
- The action scene really starts from baseball? REALLY?
- "That is the gayest super power ever!" proclaimed lekana in the middle of the theater. When he was all, "Let me show you what I really am in the light." I'm thinking oh man this'll be badass his skin will be all rotted away and he'll look the undead guy he rea.... are you serious... he's sparkling.
- Edward... WHAT A CREEPER.
- I can understand one vamp being a pansy and not eating people but a herd of pansies?
So all and all what I got from this movie was that there is a pedo vegetarian sparkling vampire that was stalking a poor girl.
Mind you, I couldn't sit through reading much of the book.
Hell no I'm not going to see that <img src="http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif" alt="skull" /><img src="http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif" alt="skull" /><img src="http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif" alt="skull" /><img src="http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif" alt="skull" />! Looks like something goth girls go see.
I am detecting an under appreciation of sparklepires. Sadness.
You know vampire baseball is awesome, Lekana!
You know Robert Pattinson actually played the piano right?
Also, I read the books and saw the movie, I thought that the movie was good in a bad movie funny way. I was laughing so hard at the generic Pepperspray!! I saw it with a friend that also read all the books, and she found most of it funny as well.
Yes, I think people fail to see that the books are written for "young readers" so you can't expect the greatest from them, but they are extremely fast reads even in their lengths, they just flow.
Oh, also, I swear the guy who played Jasper never spoke once in the film, but just stood in a blank stare.![]()

Trust me, 'we' all knew she liked "ganja." She kinda has that look about her, ya know. Anyway, it doesn't affect my opinion of her whatsoever.
I also quite liked the movie. There were awkward parts, but I enjoyed it a hell of a lot more than a lot of other movies lately.
I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VII: DoC, VII: CC, VIII, X, X-2, XII, KH, KH:CoM, Re:CoM, KHII, CT
If I didn't want to smurf her before, I do now. >=)
Saw the movie with low expectations and it didn't disappoint. Some parts were cheesy, fight scenes were pretty bad. Yet, for some reason, I liked it. Ain't that fudged up? I'd definitely read the book, it sounds like a pretty interesting love story, nothing more.
Just because a movie is about vampires, it shouldn't be an excuse for bad film making.
The Twilight books, as horribly as they are written (including all the gag-worthy descriptions of Edward) are at least entertaining in their own trashy romance sort of way. I can totally see the appeal in the books.
But the movie, it was just bad.
Probably one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. And that includes High School Musical.
Instead of going for that smoldering trashy love story avenue, or even the, "hey this is ridiculous but let's have fun with it anyway" route, it was just sitting there. Like a dead lump of a movie. Yawn-inducing, cringe-worthy, etc etc. The only saving grace of the entire movie was that Edward is nice to look at.
In the care of more talented and capable hands, I really do think that this could have been a much better film. I watched it with low expectations, but even with movies with a premise as silly as this, I expect to be entertained. I wasn't.
I like you more with every post of yours I read, Miriel.
