I think I've probably only ever had one, I remember being told repetitvely to keep my head back.

I get them somewhat more often than most here seem to, but not exactly commonly. They're a pain when they happen, though.
Edit@ Momiji: You stay away from my kitties!
Once I had one that was 2 hours long, after I ran headfirst onto a wall.
I get them occassionally especially when I have hayfever or a cold it's a pain in my ass because my blood it likes to clot in my nostrils thus blocking my breathing meaning I must rip it open again to clear it.
I am not sure if it's the longest nose bleed I have suffered but the one I remember most was my first lesson of iceskating, the blades I had on originally were blunt and my tutor once she realized it wasn't ineptitude causing me to have difficulties sent me to get a sharp pair, one sharp pair of blades later and I was great but I smacked face first in to the wooden barrier around the ice rink breaking my nose, it bled a lot...blood bounces on ice, so does vomit! Oh and the broken nose didn't put me off at all, next day I was back on the ice rink and eventually went all the way to grade 7 (just below competition level)
I ALWAYS gt nose bleeds. ALWAYS. I just stick stuff up my nose and wait for it to stop.
QFT!~
Anyhow I personally don't really get nosebleeds. Even when I smack my nose on something and make it swell up to twice its normal size I don't really bleed. But I clot really well. Even spiting the tip of my finger open didn't bleed all that much.
My sisters on the other hand... if we apply the 'nosebleeds when perverted and intensity depends on perversion' to them... well I am going to be worried now. They have some serious nosebleeds that do start from almost nowhere!
And btw, Karin is the master nose bleeder
Don't you just love how many gallons of blood your average anime character has?
I used to have them every now and then when I was 8-13 or so. They usually appeared when I hadn't eaten in a long time and then started eating. Which was annoying as it'd always come flowing after I took the first bite of something and then having to go make it stop bleeding , making the food all cold by the time I got back. Last one I had was three years ago, and before that ages ago.
To stop them I lie down.

Anorectics!
I don't get nosebleeds, really. But one of my friends gets those "seasonal bleeds" in the summer, when it gets too dry.
Never had a nosebleed. I've also never broken a bone. Instead I just get headcolds every 2 weeks.
