They're ok but the manic sub-genre has become so over-saturated that there is no real personality with any of them nowadays. It seems like the only differences between two manic shmups is the ship.Originally Posted by Momiji
I'm also not the masochistic type so I choose not to torture myself for days trying to beat a manic shmup. In fact I've only ever beaten two and those were Mars Matrix and Ikaruga. And Ikaruga is barely a manic shmup anyway.
