Default Final Fantasy VII in Guitar Hero

I was on IGN earlier and saw this video:

YouTube - Guitar Hero - Final Fantasy VII Boss Theme

That is really awesome. It's also got me thinking - who actually played the guitar for that song?

I have no idea. With a lot of effort. I was just on IGN and read this article

IGN: 10 Wonders of the Gaming World

What some people will do if they have enough time. Although I really think the Half-Life Full Life Consequences is brilliant!

I am not familiar with the intricacies of music. I assumed that Nobuo Uematsu composed the song, Still More Fighting, and used a synthesizer to arrange and perform the song for the soundtrack. Is it commonplace for video game music composers to have another party perform the actual song itself for the soundtrack?
I believe in the power of humanity.

In the game itself, it was just made with midi and Nobou on his synth. But I think that was because back then things were very limiting in the way of music on games. Now it's pretty much the same deal with movies, in that you have a composer, and you have performers, and sound engineers, etc. etc. etc.

That was pretty good. People do put custom songs on Guitar Hero still, even with GHWT's song creator. I've even seen videos for FFVI's boss theme as well, such as this one: YouTube - FF6 Boss Theme in Guitar Hero
