If it's a Mod/Admin with an FF name then it could be deduced by narrowing down the suspects.

Mods/Admins with FF character names: Dr Unne, BOU, Gau, Cid, Rydia, Daryl, Master Vivi

* Dr Unne is no longer an admin. and he said that it wasn't him and I believe him.
* BOU is no longer a mod.
* Gau is now Matt...not a FF name.
* Cid is now Sean...not a FF name.
* Rydia isn't repo man because she said she found out who it was by cheating.

That leaves Daryl and Master Vivi.

Daryl has been accused many times and all she does is giggle.

Master Vivi can "throw" a fake clue as well as a wrench. I'd have to say that it's Master Vivi.

But, then, we have many charismatic and lovable members who aren't on staff, who also could've been repo man.

As to the FF name thing, it's an interesting correlation. Whether it's true or not, though, remains to be seen.
