If you have 100% up to Sephiroth, that means you should have Knights of the Round and Omnislash. That whiny trenchcoat-wearing mama's boy should be a piece of cake from there.
    Master Level KotR = Doooooooom.

But if you had a master level materia, doesn't that spawn new materia? 100% in FFVII is IMPOSSIBLE!~

Surprisingly not. It's the boss at around level 18/19. Can't remember his name, just that he was ridiculously impossible.
I can't remember which one that is... The monster who is blind or the shadow clone maybe? Well, that games bosses are pretty nasty...

XII has its moments, especially if you are consistent with the Mark Hunts and don't grind to god-hood. The game is actually quite challenging not to mention alot of the optional bosses are smurfing cheap...*cough*Zodiark*cough*

Though Chrono Trigger surprises me... Where did you have difficulty?
The boss inside of Lavos. As soon as I walk into that fight it's game over and when i try to level up by going into the Black Omen it's another game over, not as fast though. With XII it's the Penumbra that gets me. I can grind all my characters up three levels and cast every single enhancement on them, but all those bull frogs, and horses still ends up killing everyone and sometimes I can't run back up and heal myself because the monsters like to block the elevator.
I fully understand about the Prenumbra, though its an optional dungeon so it isn't too surprising.

As for CT, you might just need a dedicated healer like Robo or Marle. Frog has healing magic but its a bit weaker than theirs. A Crono/Lucca/Robo party should have a fair chance through the Black Omen, just make sure to have plenty of items to restore MP. Once you get Crono and one of the healers a few more levels, it will be easier to bring in other characters but I'm assuming this is a first playthrough so make sure to only level characters you actually use.

I just picked up Street Fighter Anniversary Collection so I could finally have a console version of Street Fighter III. Gill and Akuma totally own my ass in this game... I finally beat it but damn it if Gill isn't Capcom's way of making an SNK boss. By that I mean, cheap and terribly broken.

The Materia list fills up eventually...at least I think.

I think once you've mastered all the Master Materias, defeated all the Weapons, got every weapon for everybody, won lots of Chocobo races, beat all the Arcade Games and defeated Sephiroth, you can claim you've finished the game 100%. Unless I've forgotten something.

EDIT: I did forget something. Level 99/100 for all the characters, all the armour and all the accessories. That should be complete.

Hmm I'm not sure if your advice could help me on the Lavos boss inside of the shell, because when I said that as soon as the battle begins I get a game over, I'm serious!http://ui30.gamespot.com/1277/chronot3_2.jpg He does one attack that kills everybody before I can even react. It's my first playthrough and because of that frustration it sort of turned me off from the game.

I'm sorry, let me clarify, my advice is to help you get through the Black Omen. Also, what is your party equipped with? Have you gotten the Moon Armor or Prism helms yet? They will boost your defense greatly. The only attacks Lavos have that kick total ass are "Destruction Rains from the Heavens" (1st Form) and Grand Stone(Third Form).

It sounds to me like you may have skipped a few "optional" quests.

As for Completion in VII. Max Levels, all equipment and items, all materia types (including Master), All Enemy Skills, Defeat Both WEAPONS, and all Limit breaks denotes 100% Completion in my book. If you are really anal, I guess you need one Mastered version of every materia type but I feel this is a waste of time in the long run.

One could reasonably say that having one master version of each materia for each character would constitute 100%.

Oh lord, he was one of the trickier bosses too. You had to attack his blindside but half the time you can't tell which side is which. Not to mention that Holy attack where he sprouts wings and lights up the screen like a bad Christmas Tree...
