    Default On this blessed holiday...

...I got Persona 3 FES. I've been meaning to play Persona 3 forever, but I never got around to it (or any of the other games in the series). I've been playing it for a few hours now and it's every bit as good as it looked like it'd be. I especially love the music n.n

I also got Mirror's Edge (yey!), Apollo Justice (WOO!), and Naruto something or other (not exactly my favorite anime, but it was a nice thought). My brother has Fable II and a crapload of Xbox 360 stuff.

His 360 broke last week and his Xbox Live subscription expires on Christmas Day. Poor guy

    ANYWAY:

Any new games you've gotten lately? Were they as good as you thought they'd be?

A friend recently gave me his PSP. He lost the charger and never played it prior anyway. So he handed it off to me. I ordered a charger and a cheap game. They both arrived a few days ago. Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles. A remake of Rondo of Blood and a remastered version of Symphony of the Night. Rondo of Blood remake blows chunks. The handling is putrid an clunky. And you have to play through some of it to get to a point for unlocking SotN. It was a horrible chore getting there, but much worth it. I've been meaning to replay SotN for a while now. Sad that a 10 year old game plays so much better than a more recent game in the same family (Hello, Sonic?). So I've been enjoying my PSP since

Also recently got Dead Rising and DBZ: Burst Limit for old time's sake. Haven't sat down with DR yet. But DBZ: BL is fun and entertaining. Makes me feel like a kid again. Though its seriously lacking on content. Not enough characters. Therefor cutting story mode down drastically. But I'm content

And Fallout 3 was everything I was hoping and more. I'm taking a small hiatus from it however, need to get back to it though

I got Fallout 3, Metroid Prime 3 and No More Heroes. Won't be able to play Fallout 3 for a little while until I can get back to my computer. No More Heroes is smurfing amazing and so far I love the experience of playing MP3. There's some changes they made that I don't like but the environments are beautiful and detailed and the backstories to the different planets are interesting. There's just too much handholding, almost like Adam in Fusion, though not quite as overbearing. And the different planets make everything seem like the exploration is less emphasized since they aren't intertwined as closely.

I managed to buy Yakuza 2, Valkyria Chronicles, Dead Space and Fallout 3. Also borrowed my friends copy of Resistance 2 before he went on holiday so I've been playing that as well.

Both Yakuza 2 and Valkyria Chronicles were awesome. Especially Valkyria Chronicles which exceeded my expectations in every way. Dead Space was all around solid but forgettable, I had hoped for more. And Fallout 3 I honestly don't have much of an opinion on at the moment. I've been playing it for around 4-5 hours and still haven't had the game click. Still need to play more.

Although my holiday obsession has been Wipeout HD which I bought off the PSN. I've had at least one game every day for the last three months. I'm practically unbeatable at this point.

I got a MySims from my brother's girlfriend for my Wii. It's an exciting game, but not quite like the most of the games in the series. It's addicting, but I'm still on one star.

Went to GameStop yesterday and picked up the following:

    Culdcept Saga
    Dead Rising
    Blue Dragon
    Viva Pinata
    Mass Effect
    Lost Planet
    Crackdown

I haven't bought a video game in such a long time it just felt soooooooo good! I won't be able to play any of them until next Friday though as that's when I'm getting to my house where (hopefully by then) the 360 I bought myself as a Christmas present will be waiting!
