    Default Because I am weird.

Did anyone else like the fact that the DS version of this game did the pixely transition between screens like the SNES version? I just thought it was cool they left that in there. Any quirks about the DS version you liked? Disliked? Threw your DS into a whale?

    Discuss.

In previous versions of the game, the characters shared the same sprites for the preparation period of an attack action and the defend command. In the Nintendo DS version of the game, the characters had a separate character model for both. I liked this a lot.
I believe in the power of humanity.

I love the ability to read my parties thoughts while in the menu, it really fleshed them out as characters. I also adore the fact that the party has different animations for doing a normal attack and a Critical Hit. Cecil and Yang just seem so much more kick ass now. I also like the fact that all the Dark Swords are Two-Handed Greatswords and yet Cecil still manages to have a shield. I like how that gave more of an illusion of the overwhelming power the darkness gave Cecil before.

I really appreciate being able to see the "charge up" time for moves within the ATB meter.

I loved that too. I had Kain has my on screen avatar for the Sealed Cave because of that.

Yeah, the thought bubbles were cool, too. I had the remake since day one, but I recently been replaying it. They did a damn good job on it.

Everything about the DS version is far superior to previous versions.
The messenger is standing at the gate
    Ready to let go
    Ready for the crush
    Too late for whispers
    Too late for the blush
    The past is mercy
    When the future is aglow

I agree with you, but I would still like to see a true SNES port without some crappy fan translation or the slooooooooooow down that the PS1 port was known for.

Ummm... GBA. I think it's also closer to the original Japanese script, so that's cool too.

I own that one, but the graphics are revamped slightly and all the extra stuff is there. Those goodies are nice, but I mean a literal good version of the original SNES game. Again, because I am weird.
