yeah I think that's right. I think in VII Barret was in the bathroom doing something and then you always find somebody in a bathroom in that game. I thought they were going to add a shower scene too.

Have you ever seen those cartoons or television shows where once character has a closet full of the same exact clothes? That is basically how it works. Showers, bathroom breaks and change of clothes are all assumed action that take place off screen unless it has plot significance or an amusing quality.

In Mass Effect, you have super advanced space astronaut suits that you can probably poo poo and pee pee in... Plus they change suits frequently, because you probably can't poo poo and pee pee in them. Although I assume they do, and thus have to change suits.

The only RPGs I've played in which a character changed his clothes are Cecil in FFIV (that doesn't really count though) and Capell halfway through Infinite Undiscovery, and that doesn't count either because he wore the same armour Sigmund was wearing.
