"The world needs a new hero" -Genesis, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
"Come and try" - Sephiroth, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
It's because Supernova is a percentage attack and doesn't actually kill your party so it would only damage 90% of the world :P
Seriously though the whole Supernova thing is stupid. First of all it looks freaking incredible but the fact it can destroy several planets yet can not kill your party is so dumb! It also misses a few planets which always bugged me. I was also under the impression that VII was on a made up planet instead of Earth, but I guess I was wrong. If it's not on Earth then why the hell do I care if Sephiroth destroys it or not? Also it's hilarious when he uses it twice in a battle! All the planets he destroyed are suddenly fine again.
The dumbest spell in the game. Looks fantastic however.
I imagine that part of the reason they used the planet names from the Solar System is due to the fact it wouldn't have the same effect if they were just showing hither-to-unheard of planets getting destroyed en-route to FFVII's planet.
Not my words Carol, the words of Top Gear magazine.
Maby the supernova is all just an "illusion" and your party is just trippin out
If you think about it, Cloud and co. must be pretty damn tough though, I mean, they've WALKED accross the world, fought dragons, bosses and the most powerful weapons in the world, created by the earth to wipe out civilisation, AND fought a man whose practically god in the CENTRE OF THE EARTH so a gunshot wound is nothing.
Seriously, they've trained for so long, they're practically superhuman so theres not a lot they can't do....... I say Steroids did it lol
