Final Fantasy Advent Children COMPLETE Pre-order!!

The Final Fantasy XIII demo will go on sale soon, accompanied by an added extra in the form of Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete (the CG movie adapted to Blu-ray), or a 160GB PS3 to play it on.

The demo can had accompanied by the PS3 (and movie) at ¥50,000 or the limited edition movie at ¥6,000; the normal movie is available separately for ¥5,000.

These packages will all go on sale on the 16th of April, according to official sources. It’s not clear whether a more general distribution of the demo is planned.

No firm date is yet given for the release of the game proper either, but a Japanese PS3 release in 2009 is apparently on the cards ( including the Xbox 360 release, are set for 2010).

Well, I preordered the version with the FFXIII demo and didn't get a message that they ran out of preorders so I guess I'm getting it soon after April 16.

Now, it's my understanding that the region code for Japanese blu-ray is the same as the American region code? So, it should play in my American PS3, right? I'm hoping the demo will work as well even if I won't understand much! If not, I might sell it. It's my understanding that PS3 games are only region free at the discretion of the producer or something, but only one game is known to be region locked for the PS3. Maybe someone who knows for sure about these things could weigh in?

Well, you never know. Probably not since it's a demo, but even so, Square Enix games always have Japanese subtitles that are easier to translate than Japanese speech, even though it would still take a long time for me! But it's not really necessary to know what their saying; I mean I'll be so excited to get to play it after hearing about this game for years.

Oh, if you're talking about the movie having english subtitles, I believe it does.

It's like a special edition longer cut version of AC. the first print comes with the FFXIII demo, as explained in the first post.

I want to play the demo, but really don't want to buy the blu-ray...not that it matters anyway now that it's not being released here. Hopefully it'll be available to download.

I think they have probably canned the Blu-Ray AC with XIII demo is because of the move to XBox as well. They probably didn't want PS3 owners to be able to play the demo before XBox owners.....screw 'em I say. So putting the demo on PSN and Xbox Live and making it a pay-to-play download would work.

Sorry for the double post, but I thought I'd give some people help in getting a copy. Square Enix has now allowed Bronze members to order FF7:ACC with the FFXIII demo. In other words, you won't need to register any Japanese software. Here is where you can buy it:

Unfortunately, it seems that the one with the PS3 has been sold out, so if you preordered that one on play-asia, I don't know if you'll be able to get it. Also, you will need a friend from Japan who is willing to use their credit card to pay for it and also have a place for SE to ship it to so your friend can ship it to you come April.

If you cannot order it from their website, then how I did it was get it off ebay, since Amazon Japan is classifying this as a video game and hence un-importable. Check this search "advent children complete" periodically and hope that there's something there. As of this posting, there are a couple items listed there.
