You're SO off my buddy list!

So how often do you prune your buddy list on your favourite/not-so-favourite IM client?! I usually cut people off at random intervals when I notice I haven't talked to them or seen them online for a while... I dunno why, but I don't like having a bunch of people I don't talk to on my list :S /OCD

I never prune my buddy list. If just make a separate list for people I talk to a lot, and people I occasionally speak to. I always feel that the day after I delete someone I'll talk to them the next day.

I never prune. I organise them into so many categories that it doesn't annoy me.

I have a list for people I always talk to, people I don't really talk to anymore, and EoFF people. It hasn't changed in years.

I don't delete people, I don't put my email address everywhere so I don't get as many people adding me that I don't want. I have different albums, <3, college/other and eoff, there's alot of people not in any that I should just delete.

No. The only people I bother to talk to log in frequently.

But when there's a limit on the /f l, people get pruned rather frequently.

I have 34 people on my buddy list. That's not enough people to warrant "pruning".

I always just leave everybody on. My friends list is really messy. I've never been a person who has cared for organisation and the like.

occasionally I remove people but only when I know they've deserted their IM accounts (like moving to another name)

I usually prune friends from my contact list every 4 months or so, usually due to inactivity. And like clockwork, a month after being pruned, someone will show up and start talking to me again, and I begin to wonder who they are. xD
