Something I never got about Cait Sith (spoilers)

I haven´t played Dirge of Cerberus but I always thought Caith Sith was "living-robot" who only took orders from Reeve but when it talked it was Caith Sith talking not Reeve. Reeve was just constantly monitoring Caith Sith and let it now if something important happened.


Remember you can see Caith Sith in Honey bee Inn or at least hear his theme. What on earth was that cat doing there? Is Reeve getting some sort of pleasure when his robot gets expensive services?

I never got why the tried to make the scene where Cait Sith "dies" sad. They already mentioned that he was nothing but a robot being controlled by someone at Shinra, so we should we care that he's about to 'die'? Even if we did think "Aww, this is sad" they would have ruined the emotional scene by bringing in a new Cait 3 minutes later!

Ow is a reaction. it just is said louder if there is pain. Even for something like Cait. Reeve is too familiar with pain, so the reaction slipped out. Either that or there is a mentality synchronization in DoC where he is able to feel what Cait does...

In the Honeybee Inn isn't Cait Sith in a room with Reeve's parents? They both talk about their son working for Shinra so it makes sense. I think the Cait Sith you see there must be a mini Cait as it looks tiny. Perhaps a little prototype for the real thing.

I think the scene is there just to give you a hint that Cait's a no-good Shinra spy.

Lol. I hated using cait sith in DoC hes even more usless there than he is in FFVII

Yell that did seem a bit strange to me and he also monologued his assumed death like he was a living being. I think Reeve must have some problems. Also how the hell did that new Cait Sith get there so fast!?

I have a theory on why the scene is so emotional, and why Cait/Reeve mentions it being his "Final Farewell" when it isn't. It's a long shot, but a theory nonetheless.

Also...just what the hell is he meant to be? Do Avalanche think he is a real cat controlling a moogle robot when in actual fact both the moogle and the cat are controlled by Reeves? Or are they meant to think that the moogle is real too?

I always assumed they just thought he was part of the Golden Saucer, (which he probably was orginally) so they where slightly confused he decided to follow them, but not suspicious.

Your opinion I guess, but I didn't really see any character in FFVII as "usless" as each one can be perfectly leveled and Cait had one of my favourite skills (slots). I haven't played DoC though.

Maybe it's no so much "Oww" as in pain, but as in "Why is my screen looking at the ground now?". Basically, it doesn't have to be an expression of pain.

I'd swear rather than say ow. If I drove a remote control car into a wall I certainly wouldn't say 'ouch' over it.
