    Default How to rip sounds?

    Ok, so I'm wondering if there is a way to record and rip sounds from videos that you see on like youtube or vids i have saved on my computer that i want to take the sounds from and make mp3 with them. help plz!!

    the cheap way is to turn your recording input to "Stereo WAVE" or something stereo or something wave, and that will record any sound your computer processes. Just make sure to turn off your IM sounds or whatever.

    (you should be able to do this by accessing the master volume controls by the speaker icon in the task bar, then going to properties, clicking input, and selecting the appropriate check box)

    However I do not believe that is a default option with Vista. Correct me if I am wrong

    You can rip the whole audio stream with vixy.net : Online FLV Converter and cut it out in Audacity if you want.

    I usually rip the whole video from youtube or whatever video site by copying out of the brower cache folder once it's downloaded
