I haven't played it but . . .
It's seems like a pretty basic RPG with simple sprites and simple art. Nothing fancy. Another thing is, even though it has things like random battles, it works more like a videobook. Characters talk to each other as large sprites of themselves on the screen, in the cities you choose which place to go to instead of actually walking around there, and the world map has points on it which you unlock as you keep playing. You don't actually run around in it like a final fantasy game. I guess the story is supposed to pretty deep and the characters pretty defined, so if you're looking for a game with alot of story, go for it. Btw, from what I have played, the voice acting is prettyty, but the intro gets you involved in the game right away.
