"False Evidence", "Former Evedince" - need the correct term.

*Note: I have no idea where to post this.*

In the past I have done various theories, and I have had "evidence" to suport them, however they have been proven false by later release I have not read. Which means my "evidence" isn't evidence anymore, as my theories are wrong, but it searves as "proof" for if it could be right. What is the correct term? Please this is a serious thread.

I'd say false since it goes to prove something that is false.

False for the stuff that's wrong, old for the stuff that's no longer relevant due to time. These terms are not mutually exclusive.

False implies deliberate falsehood, at least to me. I would go with "since discredited" or something like that.

Well, I'm sorry it took me so long to reply, but I thank you all for your responses. I am not trying to win favourites over memebers, but I think I will go with "disproved hypotheses" for the descriptions.

I am already familier with his theories, I am a fan and like them. Some of them make a lot of sense to me.
