Another major gaming decision...

So I am finally out of debt and getting money back into my accounts. I can finally catch up on all the wonderful titles I've missed (Yay! My Wii will finally see some use!) but thanks to a nice tax return, I have been given the option of picking up another console and its basically a toss up between the PSP and the 360.

I'm leaning more towards the PSP cause Dissidia and Persona 1 will be arriving in the summer but I feel the 360 may have better longevity and it has Street Fighter IV...

What says you EoFF? Which system should I go for and what games would you recommend?

Get a 360. More things going on for that console at the moment than the PSP. Both are worth purchasing though.

S-sorry. Couldn't hold that one in. (I'm one of those unlucky people you hear about who constantly have to send their system[s] in for repairs and replacement. Overall, between my my dad's 360 and my own 360, we're on our 10th console. No joke. Just sayin'.

Then again, you may be one of those lucky people who don't have issues with their consoles.

Go for the 360. You get some decent games and the cool arcade stuff.

Assuming you live in the states so broken 360's are fix'd for free, 360. Much fun to do on that system.

I'm different! I say go for the PSP! Don't get me wrong the 360 is awesome.

I'm going to be different as well and say the PSP. Gears of War aside, I've never been taken with any of the exclusives on the 360. Give me God of War, Syphon Filter Dark Mirror, Jeanne D'arc, MGS Portable Ops, Echochrome, and remakes of awesome PSX games I missed out on the first time around over the exclusives on the 360 any day.

I meant the longevity of it having titles produced for it. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony announced a next generation PSP soon while I doubt Microsoft will announce the next generation console for X-Box anytime soon.

I must say, the exclusive content for the PSP is what's drawing me to the system. I don't really care for any of the 360 exclusives, except for maybe Lost Odyssey and Mass Effect. Being able to play BioShock and Fallout 3 without having to upgrade my computer is tempting though...

Any game suggestions for either system?

I strongly dislike FPS's and I don't consider GTA that great of a series.

I've barely used my 360 since I bought it. It kind of feels like a waste now that I have a decent PC, since the 360 exclusives don't even come close to being on par with the PC exclusives.

Pretty sure that's global, or at least the English-speaking world. Mine was fixed free and I live in the UK.

Anyway yeah going to have to recommend the 360, strongly. It's full of joyous gaming joy.

I own both. I don't like a lot of the 360 exclusives either. But my 360 gets a lot more use than my PSP. Only thing that interests me in the PSP these days is the PSOne compatibility. There's a few games though
