I'm playing it on the computer from the original psx disk

So am I. That doesn't mean your screenshots have to look like garbage.

I don't feel like playing in 640 resolution on a 22'' monitor(not to mention it would screw up my destkop), and that's the same quality I'm playing it right now.

So suck it up, it ain't going to change.
