Help Linus get a Sweet Job!

Ok folks, here's the deal. That announcement up there ^ is about this. I'm Linus, some of you may not know me but I posted here a crapton between 2001-2004 and am buddies with a lot of the older members here. (Hi CK's!)

I'm in a competition to become the new spokesperson for a thing called Young and Free South Carolina. It's run by a credit union, which is similar to a bank.

Basically, if I win they pay me, I get a free Macbook and digital camcorder, and I get to go to events and stuff around my state for a year to either speak, hand stuff out, or interview people. It's a job that I reeeeally want.

The judges from the competition are going to narrow the field down from over 20 people to just 3 sometime after March 13th. They are going to make their decision based on the quality of my application, my other submissions, and the quality and quantity of the comments on my application!

So here's what YOU can do to help me win an awesome job.

I'm not looking for funny business. This is a serious competition, so 50 comments with the same i.p. would look bad.

Anyway, this french fry signature was made by Shlup, and Gau. I think. Some others were probably there too, but they made it at a meetup like over 5 years ago. The fries are probably stale now.

This competition is bugging me out. Last week I made 2 videos and bugged like everyone I know to go post stuff. And there's still 2 weeks to go uuuuunnngnghhh. If I do make it to the final three though I'll be really relieved. Then it's just down to public voting and I can spam the hell out of everywhere for votes. =D

Hrmm... I know they moderate it to prevent people being like "OMG U SUCK" or people posting pr0ns or whatever. But I dunno about the spam dealy. =\

Also, don't worry about where your i.p. is, they already said once voting opens up that anyone in the world can vote if they have a valid e-mail address.
