The book is beyond amazing.
The first 1984 film was pretty darn good.
The 1989 sequel was . . . alright. For nostalgia purposes.
The third movie was godawful.
The cartoon series was cute, but ultimately too kiddy.
The live action tv series was beyond terrible.
But still, I have some hope that this "remake" (it isn't actually a remake, but more of a new adaption of the book) will finally capture what the book was really about.
But every single one of the twelve million blogs about this all sound the same: they're all written by whinny guys telling Hollywood to suck it for "raping [their] childhood" with remakes.
They should learn to read.
