I'm in the second disc and have started doing some heavy work with the Chocobo Breeding. Since we're doing the playthrough on the forums, I was curious to know what everyone names their chocobos when they do the Chocobo breeding. Do you do themes or just name them dirty words for the humor of the moment?

I usually name them after the major characters from previous FF games. My Good Chocobo is Bartz, my Great is Lenna, My Green is Cecil, and my Blue is Rosa. My Black Chocobo is always named Shadow and my Gold is usually named Boko. I do change it up once in awhile but I usually stick to FF names. How about you?

I name then what ever color they are. green = green, blue = blue, yellow = yellow, black = black, gold = gold. the one I get from fighting Ruby I name Ruby. Its a lack of imagination but atleast I know which one I'm picking during races.

Getting two Great Chocobos will give you better breed stock for your colored Chocobos than a Great and a Good one will.

Anyway, I name my colored chocobos after Norse Gods. Usually: Freyja, Tyr, Loki, and Thor, though I'll use different names if I get ones that are the wrong gender for those, or if I breed more Gold Chocobos for speed and to fill my stable with them. I name the one from Ruby Weapon Boko.

I never name anything Boko. I've named them after the main characters of the game... I've chosen random names that sound like they go well together. FAIK I've never named the chocobos based on their color or what they can cross.

Actually, I'm having a tough time remembering what I named Squall, Rinoa, and Tidus my first time through.
