I was playing RE1 yesterday and I couldn't help but shed a tear thinking about what the series has become today.

What's that then? Fun? Playable?

Sorry, but whilst RE1 was fairly epic for its day, anyone who says it was competent in controls and general gameplay is looking back with rose tinted glasses. RE2 and 3 were better in that respect, but still infamously bad. RE4 and 5 ditched the horror, no question about it, but they added a metric ton of fun instead. I had more fun with RE4 than I ever did in any of the prior ones.

RE5 should be arriving for me tomorrow!
