CEDAR POINT - SANDUSKY, OHIO

"America's Roller Coast!"

The weather in late Spring at Lake Erie is absolutely gorgeous. It will not be too hot or too cold. Maybe bring a light jacket for after dusk. Hours of operation will be 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Sandusky is an hour from Cleveland, Two and a half hours from Columbus, Four hours from Cincinnati, Four and a half hours from Chicago and three hours from Pittsburgh.

Cedar Point has 17 roller coasters and a whole bunch of other rides. Quite a few of their roller coasters were the tallest in the world at the time they were built. It’s on a peninsula on Lake Erie, and Sandusky is pretty easy to travel to and through.

Tickets are $43, but I think you can get tickets for $33.

I'm not a big fan of roller coasters, but going to the science center might give me some interesting new ideas for doomsday plans...

Doomsday? Have you ever been to COSI? I don't think it's that kind of place. It's more geared for kiddies. There's more than rollercoasters at KI. They have DDR. Case closed. Their arcade is pretty sweet. You can also win a giant ass gorilla in some carnaval games. I have a 6 foot tall teddy bear from last year >=3

Stu and I have been talking about going to king's island for a while, although cosi was definitely a possiblity too! I dunno what my/our plans for this summer are yet though

My potential yes depends on a lot of factors. I do plan on being back in the area this summer, though.

Sounds like it could be fun and it would be a good way to get to know all of you a bit better. Count me in if life permits me to be open when you decide on it! (I imagine I could fit anything in though.)

You'd be surprised. Even the simplest concepts can result in the craziest of plans when applied to the proper situations :rolleyes2

I'm most definitely down for this. I was actually planning to post a thread for this when it warmed up even more. Seems I was beat. Though I'm still thinking a local Ohio-ans meet up for a day wouldn't be half bad.

As far as my input, King's Island sucks, kiddy coasters and much smaller. Cedar Point is far and away superior.

Cosi is kiddy as well, but I could manage there if there were other EoFFer's.

I would much prefer something closer to Columbus, but that's because I'm fairly lazy, and I could also probably drag WhatVVB to it as well. XD
