PS3 Online

I was wondering if I could get some help here because other places weren't as helpful. I was thinking about getting a PS3 in maybe a few months, but there are some things that I need to know first before I make a decision to buy it. One is concerning the online capabilites. I am unsure on how it works. Is it like the Wii requiring a Wifi connection?

I have a portable internet service that I can use anywhere. I just have to plug it in the back of the computer. Does a PS3 have something in the back that I could plug this into?

I dont own a PS3 but i have helped a friend trouble shoot his...and from what i can tell its WiFi like the Wii.

PS3 has both WiFi and the ability to plug an Ethernet cable into it in the back. If your device is really set up to 'just plug in and go', it shouldn't be a problem. But if it isn't, you'll probably have to find your username and password and stuff like that so that you'll be able to log on to your internet provider. PS3 has stuff like that built-in.
