I've been listening to game and anime soundtracks lately, they're calming and keep me focused. But anything works most of the time.

Anything which is good and sort of repetitive. Ambient stuff sometimes. Video game orchestral sometimes. Electronica sometimes. I can't really work well without music.

Interestingly enough, Dragon Quest Symphonic Suite music accompanies my serious study/writing sessions.
