    Default Stats and levelling questions

This is for the DS version.

How does job levelling work compaired to level... levelling?

Why are some of the stats green?

I bought a pre-played game, and the idiot who had it, must've thrown away the booklet, so I'm lost on some points.
"Guchi-guchi" said the little baby, and his mom mistakingly bought him an expensive bag

Job levels increase the number of hits, intensity of attack, chance of a critical hit, and in some jobs, enhances their special ability. You increase Job Levels by performing actions in battle. Each action earns between 10 and 24 points depending on the Job. You gain a JLv every 100 points, but can only increase your JLv once per battle.

Normal levelling increases Str, Agi, Vit, Int and Mind. Two characters who have the same level and same job will have the same stats, but if their Job Levels are different they will perform differently in battle.

Some stats are shown in green on the status screen as they are being increased by equipment.

EDIT: HP is slightly different to everything else. It is a character trait, not a job attribute. So if you have 500 HP as a White Mage and change to a Monk, you'll still have 500 HP. The amount of HP a character gains depends on the Vit of their Job when they level up. The best jobs path for HP is Monk -> Knight -> Black Belt. The worst ones are Scholar and Evoker so try not to gain too many levels when your in the Job.
