PS3 - PS1 B/C performance?

Bit of a random question, but here goes.


On my current FF marathon, ive finished 1-5 and 6 is almost done, and it just so happens my birthday's coming very up soon in which i'll be getting a PS3.


Now while I have a PS1, I thought it'd be an interesting change to play my FF 7-9 on my PS3, so I was just curious if there was anything I should be aware of by playing PS1 games on a PS3.


So I ask anyone here who might know (with those games especially) if there is anything I should be aware of, things like Graphical errors, crashes, pixel problems etc....

FF7 runs like on my PS3. There's frequent problems with music and graphic distortion after every battle.
