How do you dress to parties?

For me, with my sisters party tonight im wearing a suit, loose though, so I dont look like a total pansy, haha!

I would dress the same, formal-ish.

I would probably wear like, a kinda dressy shirt, jeans, then heels.
Only rarely will I wear like, a fancy dress.

But if it's a party where there's dancing, ditch the heels and I'll wear strappy sandals.

I don't normally go to parties. If I do, I always spend at least an hour tearing apart my closet looking for something that looks amazing on me. I find it, put on my face, and head out the door feeling good....

Case in point - it didn't matter that I spent all that time preparing and it doesn't matter what I'm wearing, I feel like a total doofus the moment I walk in to a party.

For college parties I go fancy, for a house party it's usually jeans with a fancy top, same for like a birthday party or sit-off.

formal party (ie. often with work) = fancy shirt, tie. fancy pants
christmas, baptism, wedding, basically anything that involves a church: tux
