That's fine. Intelligence isn't the same as knowledge. Knowing who Einstein was and what he did has little to do with how good you are at solving problems and seeing patterns, etc.
I took a somewhat proper test once, and I landed at 117, though I think it relied a bit too much on knowledge.

They're supposed to give a representation of how well you solve real life logical problems and stuff, but you're right in the sense that if you do lots of IQ tests, and do many exercises that are similar to the ones you get a IQ tests, you'll do better at them, but then I don't think it really reflects your real life performance.
I guess it can be compared to a test of your physique. On a normal person, you don't have to do a zillion tests for every single muscle in your body to get a pretty good estimate of how fit you are, but if you specifically train the muscle groups that you know will matter most next time you get yourself tested, it's no longer going to reflect your actual fitness level.
