This is how it usually goes:

Each year someone makes a thread in the staff forum proposing to pull a prank and each year someone says "No, it's no use, we're never going to top the 2005 one" and then someone else says "How about the prank this year is that we don't pull a prank? " and then someone agrees and then we forget all about the thread until april 1st, when one of the admins does some random stuff at the last minute.
