I'm curious why it would cost you money to download. Unless you're paying for bandwidth or something else related to that, downloading demos is free.

If you're asking someone to go through the trouble of downloading the demo *for you* (if they didn't have it), burning it onto a disc, and then mailing it to you...then I really don't know what to say to that.

I don't think you can physically send the demo for Left 4 Dead, since it has to go through Steam to work.
