Zidane with Garnet??????

[Ouch!]

I've always rather liked Zidane and Garnet as a couple, actually. I think the way they played off one another, the way they helped each other develop into more developed and more complete people and their general contribution to the plot make them one of my favourite Final Fantasy couples. I certainly liked Zidane and Garnet more than Tidus and Yuna.

Zidane and Garnet are certainly one of the best Final Fantasy couples if only because their feelings for one another were demonstrated to grow over time. There was actual development in their relationship demonstrated gradually throughout the game--something lacking in all other Final Fantasy titles with prominent romantic subplots. In other cases, it seems to be a largely "love-at-first-sight" story or just a sudden and largely inexplicable change in the characters' feelings towards one another.
