    Unhappy Sad songs

Our dear Noctiluca is growing sick of being depressed most of the time, now he wants to be depressed all of the time. This means that every time he starts getting all warm inside or when he gets his paycheck, he needs a sad song to bring him back down to a safe level. He needs your help, ladies and gentlefellows!

What are some of your favourite sad songs, or just songs that make you the most sad?

    Poor Noctiluca.

RHCP's Under the Bridge is always a good, mellow song.

Most of the songs from Antony and the Johnsons' first two albums are sad songs, and they're all very beautiful.

Try giving a listen to "Cripple and the Starfish" and "Man is the Baby", just for examples.

    Moon by Yoko Kanno.

It's beautiful. Sung in a language the composer (Yoko Kanno) made up herself. It's...beautiful.

A good many songs on the Wish album by The Cure manage to be pretty sad/depressing. To name a few: Apart, From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea, Trust, A Letter to Elise, and To Wish Impossible Things.

She knows what's up! Fixed, though (lol in-jokes). There are like 6 versions of the song, vocalized or otherwise. They are all fantastic. Origa performed it during the live concert. I'm willing to bet that you haven't even seen Turn A Gundam, but that just shows how good the music is.

I could poke through my collection another time, *maybe*, but off the top of my head 'Arcadia' from Escaflowne (also by Yoko Kanno) is another relative downer of a song.

Something else that comes to mind is 'Elegy' from Dragon Quest IV by Koichi Sugiyama (first part of this performance, before it switches to the other song @ 2:50) (8 bit version)

If you are interested, do try to find 'better than YouTube quality' versions of these songs. It kind of breaks my heart to share these in this manner, but it is the easiest way to do it.
