Best FF Man Character

Out of all of those choices:

Zack:Anything I liked about Cloud turned out to be from Zack. His confidence and downright arrogance are traits that belong to Zack alone. His cheerful attitude is also quite nice and I love how he doesn't take himself too seriously which is more than I can say about the rest of the games cast.

Squall: Say what you will about him but I love the smug asshole and I generally agreed with what he was thinking. Yes he gets a bit goofy when he realizes he's in love but I can't think of anyone who doesn't. Even Cloud undergoes a huge personality change after he meets Aerith.
Still, I love his mean spirited comments and the fact he was obviously more capable than everyone else. He's the only character who is believable in the game.

Vivi- He is so cute and wonderful, I adore the little fella and his story is the most touching of the three choices. He has plenty of awesome fanfare in the title as well and he's just awesome from beginning to end. I was a bit sad when he fell into being a background character in the later discs though...

Choosing from the whole series: I'd say Cecil, Galuf, Ramza, Delita, Cyan, Setzer, Squall, Vivi, Gabranth and Basch.

I find Cloud to be the sexiest FF guy, so I voted for him. However, I still liked Cecil's personality more, though I enjoyed Cloud's inner journey through his personal pains and fears [Despite how many traits he did adapt from Zach, in the end, they were merely additional elements to forge his new self]. I'm actually pretty annoyed at how when people see a woman go through these kinds of trials and display such emotion as being "gloomy" or "depressed" or "mopey", it's perfectly alright with everyone. When a guy goes through it however, everyone frowns upon it. Just something that pisses me off.

Lastly, I thought Locke was awesome, and that Firion probably would've been awesome if they had just expanded on his character more. I really wish FF II had been developed in more modern times, because there would've been a lot more dialogue and characterization if that had been the case, and I have a feeling that people would probably find Firion to be pretty awesome.

This is a tough choice considering the greatness of FF. I'm not considering anyone from VII or any of the males in eight that wasn't Squall because he was the only really developed one. Hmm, I wish there was a choice where I could pick multiple characters at once. Oh wait, yes I can, there's Cid!

I agree that Tidus is a bit of a brat, but mommy-obsessed Sephiroth isn't much better. He has no character development, no personality, no motivation. Nothing. He's probably the lamest and most cliche villain ever conceived by Square. I thought it was also mega lame how they managed to bring him back for FFAC.

I like Squall though. At least he's hot.

You have to have a very active imagination to have an appreciation for Sephiroth lol. Squall is pretty tight, but Reno was awesome too. <3 I heart all 3

No Seymour... No Garland... No Kiros or Ward... No Turks... No FF8, 9, or 10 versions of Cid... So out of those, I'd go with Auron.

Out of the ones you have up there-

I'd have to say Cloud, I just liked him what can I say. Sure through out a good portion of the game he was imitating Zach, but when you finally discovered the Cloud he wasn't a bad guy. He was focused, he cared for his companions, and wasn't really the brooding emo that hes made out to be now (thanks KH and especially you AC, thanks a lot). We see him struggle and overcome his personal demons and it was a good journey making him a fairly interesting character (in my humble and unsignificant opinion). It was good to see him actually grow in the game, he was easily the most mentally unstable person in the game and it was nice and a bit inspiring to see someone like that eventually triumph. Not to mention he has some of my all time favorite limit abilities in the series and I like many of the swords that he uses.

Just to give a few honorable mentions-
Vivi was also a great character, I mean its VIVI what more is there to say. You know a character is kickass when all you have to say is his name and most of the Final Fantasy fanbase cheer despite if Vivi even from their favorite game in the series.

Barret and Wakka and Squall are also some of my favorite male characters in those games.

Out of the games that aren't listed-
I have to say Basch easily, he is the embodiment of what a true knight is supposed to be. He is strong, loyal, and willing to sacrifice is life and even his honor all for the sake of his duty and what needs to be done. Ashe could not have asked for a better protecter than Basch, and the conflict with his twin brother also added a little more dimension to the character. Its a pitty that he got shafted out of the position of being the main character, but thats okay he still kick ass and is by far one of if not my all time favorite Final Fantasy character.
