Don't Know Me, Huh?
Okay, I've got the list updated and I'm using qwertysaur's suggestion to shorten my first post.
So although a lot of you probably have a good idea as to what sig you're planning to let others use, I've decided to make a few suggestions that'll help you decide what direction you want to take this in.
- There's the typical "swap your current set with someone else" idea. This is probably what you'd want to do if you're wanting to confuse other members with your sets. On the other hand, it's a dead giveaway for the Set Swap guessing game.
- You could also give someone else one of your previous sets to use. Though it might not confuse members as much as the first suggestion would, it'd at least give you an edge in confusing others for the Set Swap guessing game, especially if you haven't used that set in a long time and it doesn't fit your current set style anymore.
- If you feel up to it you could also make a set that's "your style" and let someone else use it. It wouldn't give you away that badly for the Set Swap guessing game (unless you're really into anime or chocobos or something like that). It may not confuse members an insane amount, though it may throw some of them off.
- And lastly, there's the evil "make a set that I'd never use and swap it with someone else" plan. This would probably be the most effective way to mess people up with the Set Swap guessing game. As for confusing members with the set swap, I guess it'd depend on the type of set used and which member is using it.
You don't have to use any of these suggestions though. I just decided to post them so you can easily put the Set Swap guessing game and the confusing member parts into account before deciding how you're going to do this.
Also, I'm trying to decide whether people should be assigned members to swap sets with randomly or if people should choose their partners through PMs. Randomly assigning people to swap sets with would be easiest, though I'm guessing a lot of you would want to choose your partners. That'd kind of complicate things though, since people may not be able to find someone to swap sets with in the end, making it unfair to people who aren't online during that time. I want to hear your input on how we should assign people members to swap sets with.
If anyone is wondering if you're supposed to keep "who swapped sets with who" a secret, once everyone is using their swapped sets, I guess that's up to you. I mean, something like Sagensyg with a strawberry set is a little too obvious to be able to keep a secret. Though at the same time, you don't want to be helping out people too much since you're giving away your chance to win the Set Swap guessing game.
I also forgot to mention, even if you aren't swapping sets with anyone you're still allowed to participate in the Set Swap guessing game. Though in a way, you're at a disadvantage compared to the members who are participating since they automatically have one right answer from knowing who they got their set from.
