I'm starting to wonder if there is a rule in Hollywood that says only the first two comic films in a series can be good.
It is generally easier to make one or two good films than it is to make three or four. Directors and writers, as well as the entire production staff, usually do not stay on for more than two films unless they have a personal stake in the films.
