Were there any problems with the boat? Well, a problem occured, but nothing was wrong with the design of the boat, and nothing malfunctioned or broke. The boat was in perfect condition.

The walls on the boat were too tall, so she couldn't get back in without the ladder available, although she tried scratching her way up. This is part of the plot of Adrift 2 and also a true story, apparently.
I would be dumb enough to forget to put out the ladder, but I have this thing about the ocean so I wouldn't have been out there in the first place xD
You just shouldn't go out that far from land without someone else who can assist you from the boat. Silly girl.
