    TV Shows: What are "Grips" "Key Grips" and "Best Boys" anyway?!

    I have seen these in the credits of various TV shows since I was a kid, but I have no idea what they do. Does anyone?

    I always imagined that sometimes people working on a show have to bring their kids, namely boys, with them to work for whatever reason. To keep the kids from misbehaving, they told the kids that the one that behaves the best gets their name in the credits. Thus, "Best Boy" was born.
