Sounds a bit lame to me.

The movie itself sounds kinda meh, but Alison Lohman's in it and I like her. Also, Gerard Butler is actually okay.
Maybe I'll check it out at some point.

Based on the trailer, it will either be so ridiculous it's completely awful or so ridiculous it's completely awesome.
It'll likely be the former, but one can always hope for the latter.

It can't just be a nice action movie that happens to be game related?
It could, if it was just trying to be an action movie with a gaming twist. But, certain parts of the trailer (Including one brief shot of Michael C. Hall in what appears to be a musical number. I could be wrong, though.) make it seem like they're trying to make it some sort of cultural satire, as well. Those usually go only one of two ways. Thus, my original statement.

I haven't seen the trailer, but after seeing in the wikipedia article that it's by the guys who brought us Crank I think I'll pass.
